Alana started playing drum set at age 13 and has since expanded her musical repertoire to include every percussion instrument she could get her hands on. This includes classical, jazz, mallet, Afro-Cuban, Brazilian, and African percussion. She just completed her undergraduate studies from the University of Miami Frost School of Music studying Music Engineering Technology with classical percussion as her principle instrument. Alana has performed with many artists around Miami ranging from large orchestral ensembles to her live hip-hop band. She is currently working at Sunset Elementary School, teaching private drum set lessons and group percussion classes.

I studied classical percussion at the University of Miami Frost School of Music, and graduated with a degree from the music school. At UM, I studied classical percussion, Afro-Cuban percussion, Brazilian percussion, African percussion, and Jazz.
I began taking private drum set lessons about nine years ago, and have been studying music both privately and in school ever since.
- Broward Youth Chamber Orchestra, Stoneman Douglas High School Orchestra, Hollywood Philharmonic, University of Miami Wind Ensemble, University of Miami Brass Choir, Dean Kharahalis and the Concert Pops Orchestra.
- I play in two local Miami bands, at least 5 times a month. I play in a live karaoke band every Tuesday. I also play private parties with a small percussion ensemble.
I have been teaching private lessons for about three years. I am currently working at Sunset Elementary School, teaching private drum set lessons and a percussion workshop class to students ages 5-8.
