I graduated from the Berklee College of Music with a Diploma in Professional Music. My main areas of study were performance, guitar proficiency, and songwriting. After graduation I moved back to my hometown, Austin Texas where I have been teaching privately for the last year and a half and will be saying goodbye to 30 guitar students when I move to Richmond, Virginia. I have also been teaching privately with a music school in town, the North West School of Music and with an online teaching agency.
I have been teaching professionally for about 6 years, and a guitar player/student for over 20 years. I have experience performing on stages all over the world and in many fine recording studios. I can honestly say that teaching the guitar is one of the best things I have to offer and that a student would be lucky to have me as a teacher. My students are taught all the tools necessary to perform and understand the instrument as well as to read music and to understand music theory in a way that enables them as music creators. And we also have a mega-good time.
