Beginner - Intermediate - Advanced
Premium Guitar Lessons by a 30 year veteran of the Music Industry who has traveled and performed extensively. Over 30 years teaching in various prestigious music academies in urban centers. Comfortable, fun, very patient, and realistic as a person. Theory, methods, technique, and repertoire via a contemporary 'West Coast' method.
Formal Education:
I have a BA in Sociology from Appalachian State University.
Private Education:
Private classical instruction with Anne Stegall and Dr. Steven Stegall of Charlotte, NC.; among many others.
Performing Experience:
Travelled, recorded and performed with Roots and Culture; Way of Life; the Amateurs. Performed with Starsong and the Peaceniks (Jazz quartet). Produce Ruffin Monroe; produce and perform with Musicosophy and Mountain Rain.
Experience Teaching:
Taught for many years professionally at The Acadamy of Performing Arts (Greenwich Rd, Charlotte, NC), Piedmont Music Shoppe (Colwyck Rd Charlotte) and was recruited and taught at The Music Workshop (Sharon Amity Rd., Charlotte) before teaching many more years at Lakewood Studios (1332 Lakewood Rd. Matthews, NC) and at students' homes. Now teach at Home Studio in Caswell County, NC.
