I love piano and enjoy sharing that love with my students. I began at age five, when I studied organ at Stan Kann's music studio in the St. Louis area. I soon switched my focus to studying piano, and took weekly lessons for ten years uninterrupted. In Florida I studied piano under Joanne Bankson, with emphasis in improvisation and the circle of fifths. Other music studies included performing as pianist for Barron Collier High School Jazz band, under instruction of Greg Holleman, as well as serving as accompanist for several choirs at North Naples United Methodist Church. I currently have over ten years of teaching experience in the Fort Myers area. I use a student-guided teaching method, allowing the student to set their own music education goals, and especially focusing on those that bring the student the most pleasure in playing, performing, and achievement. Beginners are welcome.
