Hi! My name is Adam, I am a Colorado born musician who has been living in Oklahoma since late 2014. I have been playing music for about eight years ranging from rock, blues, funk, and fingerstyle acoustic. Some of the larger influences in my playing have been Eric Clapton, Pino Palladino, Stevie Ray Vaughan, Prince, and John Mayer. When it comes to teaching I think that it's imperative to get the student excited about whatever it is that they are learning. While learning an instrument is a slow and tedious process, if it is fun for them, they will practice more, and will progress more quickly, in turn motivating them to practice more, and to improve more. After they get into this cycle they will have laid a foundation from which to play, and the student will be able to gradually progress onto the more technical aspects of music.
Adam M. has over 8 years of music experience in the Oklahoma City area.
I am currently enrolled full time at the University of Central Oklahoma, through their Academy of Contemporary Music program. I have been placed on both the President's Honor Roll (Fall 2015, Fall 2016), and the Dean's Honor Roll (Spring 2016). Through ACM@UCO I have learned about the technical aspects of playing my instruments, as well as music theory and songwriting.
In Colorado I took lessons with an instructor for three years. Where I was taught the basics of music theory, how to read music, how to use the Nashville Number System, and how to learn and chart songs.
I have performed live at birthday parties, and weddings. While in Oklahoma I have performed original and cover songs in local venues. While as a side man I have performed in the annual Metro Music Festival, and in Oklahoma City and Norman.
I have taught multiple students since I have been playing, from intermediate skill levels to complete beginners.

"4 years ago I purchased a guitar and I thought I would learn how to play by teaching myself. After awhile and not getting the hang of it I gave up and just used my guitar as a wall ornament. It was recently when I decide that I will give it a try one more time but this time with some help. I contacted Adam letting him know that I have no experience with music and I can't multitask. Adam has been super awesome, his knowledge, experience, love for music and his total patience has made my learning experience fun and enjoyable. The guy knows his stuff and he is affordable as well and you actually learn something. I am able to finally use my $300 wall ornament now ha ha. I totally recommend Adam services.
