I'm a composer, producer, singer, songwriter. I taught myself the basics on guitar - enough to get started. I consider myself a composer most of all, but the instrument I use best is my voice. I've been singing since elementary school. I've been playing bass guitar and guitar for about 4 years. My favorite bands are Radiohead, Brand New, and Modest Mouse. I'm also a big nerd: I play video games and I cosplay. What I really want to do is compose music for video games. *** I don't feel comfortable giving kids voice lessons. I will only do voice lessons for adults. Sorry for any inconvenience.
Santiago R has over 3 years of music experience in the Oklahoma City area.
I spent two years majoring in Vocal Music Education at the University of Central Oklahoma. I got a strong foundation in music during that time; I thoroughly enjoy music theory and solfege. I'm currently a single semester (basically only one class) away from obtaining an Associate's in Contemporary Music Production at ACM@UCO.
I've taken composition lessons from Patrick Conlon. I've taken voice lessons from Dr. Kevin Eckard, Dr. Molly Johnson, Than Medlam, Sephra Scheuber, and Chad Petree. I've taken guitar lessons from (myself), Scott Keeton, and Than Medlam. I've taken bass guitar lessons from Joe Gillian.
I've been performing since elementary school in choir. In middle school, I started playing trombone in band. I performed in show choir, choir, school musicals, marching band, and concert band in high school. I've performed in Metro Music Fest in Downtown Oklahoma City with a rock band, and various other venues with rock bands and as a solo act. I've also performed with Solstice Cosplay and we've been awarded 1st place two years in a row.
I've done some personal tutoring for music theory and aural skills, as well as private voice lessons. My biggest role as a leader was being drum major in both high school and college marching band.

"I was asked to submit a teaching reference for Santiago R. He was in two of my classes when he attended the University of Central Oklahoma. He is an outstanding young man and will do very well as a music instructor. He is personable, intelligent and very gifted musically. I highly recommend him for a teaching position with Taylor Robinson. " Darla Eshelman wrote at Tuesday, Nov. 22nd 2016
