I am a fourth-year student at UC San Diego, majoring in Economics with a minor in Music. I have nearly 11 years background in drumming, playing in rock and alternative bands. I grew up taking drum lessons throughout middle school and up into high school as well. I have since learned guitar and played gigs and performed as a guitarist in an acoustic setting. I love music and I am a hard-working and energetic teacher.
Peter M. has over 10 years of music experience in the San Diego area.
I am a few months away from completing a Bachelor's Degree from UC San Diego (BA) in the field of Economics with a Music minor.
I have taken drum lessons for 4 years and I have taught myself intermediate-advanced guitar.
I have played gigs at bars as well as concerts on the UCSD campus (ranging from 10 to 500 people audiences) on both drums and guitar.
I have worked with kids as a Teacher's Assistant for a Kindergarten class at my middle school (my mother is a teacher). I have also worked over the summer as a Physical Education teacher for the summer school program at St. Leo the Great School (K-12 grades).
Lessons Locations: In Studio
"Peter has watched my boys for years and has been a great role model for them in his words and actions. He worked on drums with my younger son throughout this time as well. He was always very patient, kind and fun. He has an energetic, positive personality that serves him very well as an instructor. Wish he still lived here to work with my boys!"
