About Me

The instagram page #whereislyndall became a trending viral sensation resulting from the charismatic artistry of guitarist Lyndall. This phenomenon landed Lyndall on the front page of the Stetson University School of Music brochure, featured him as the Spotlighted Artist in the university publication, The Reporter, and paved his way as a performer in the inaugural Sorrento GuitarFest in Italy. Now in his fourth year at Stetson University where he is earning a Bachelor of Music in guitar performance, Lyndall studies classical guitar with Dr. Stephen Robinson. He has appeared on and off the Stetson campus, performing classical, jazz, gospel, and contemporary rock. As a classical soloist and collaborative guitarist, he has performed in Stetson’s Lee Chapel, Gillespie Museum and Hand Art Center, as well as in the master classes of renowned guitarists, Benjamin Verdery (Yale University) and Amadeus Duo (international guitar duo). As a jazz guitarist, Lyndall has been a member of the Stetson Jazz Band, and as Leader of the Stetson Jazz Combo, he has organized and appeared in fundraising events, and has performed for Stetson Administration, Donors and Faculty. In recognition of his musical artistry and academic excellence, Lyndall has earned Stetson’s William E. Duckwitz Talent Scholarship and is a Presidential Scholar.   The School of Music Faculty named him Outstanding Freshman and Sophomore of the Year for his distinguished artistic and scholastic success.    Beyond the Stetson campus, Lyndall has served as a senior staff member with the University of Miami’s Young Musicians Summer Camp, mentoring youth, and performing and teaching bass and guitar.  Active in the community, he performs in churches, elementary classrooms and nursing homes.  Lyndall continues to maintain a diverse career as a performer, an organizer and an arts advocate, using his instrument as a platform to transform the lives of others.

Lyndall V has over 13 years of music experience in the Miami Gardens area.

Talented Guitarist and Awesome Teacher!

"Lyndall is a superb performer in many areas of guitar playing. At my summer music camp he is one of our most favorite teachers! He is equally skilled in jazz, pop, and classical (and no doubt other styles that I don't know about.) He has the very special quality of being an excellent communicator - in other words - it is easy to talk to him about any kind of music and he is great at explaining exactly how to learn to play it. Lyndall is serious about his art, but has a sense of humor, so during his classes, students have fun, but learn a lot at the same time. I think that anyone who has been lucky enough to study with Lyndall will always remember him as an amazing teacher and an amazing player too. " Sarah Salz wrote at Thursday, Nov. 10th 2016

Great instructor!

"Lyndall Vickers is an excellent guitarist, and a generous and caring person. Throughout his time working with me, he has shown himself to be a considerate and devoted employee and an outstanding teacher. He carefully considers each of his students personalities, talents, and goals, and teaches each of them through a personalized approach that is rooted in strong technique and the joy of playing. All in all, he is an excellent musician and teacher, and wonderful person to know. " Kirsten Shippert wrote at Thursday, Nov. 10th 2016
