What to expect in my Orchestral Lessons
Beginner - Intermediate - Advanced
In addition to Drums and Traditional Percussion, I am trained in Classic, Orchestral Percussion. I can teach performance techniques on Orchestral Percussion instruments, work on studying and playing to Orchestral Excerpts, and solidifying sight-reading skills needed for auditions.
What to expect in my Drum Lessons
Beginner - Intermediate - Advanced
I am adaptable to all learning styles, and will adjust to students' personalities accordingly. I have structured lesson plans and method books that I typically use in drum/percussion lessons, but I am flexible with instruction based on each specific students' lesson goals and/or needs. I expect much from each student, and they must work and practice diligently.
Formal Education:
I have music degrees from both Concordia College (MN) and The Ohio State University. Currently finishing my Doctorate in Percussion Performance from The University of South Carolina.
Performing Experience:
I've performed excessively at both public venues and at the academic level.
Experience Teaching:
I've taught percussion lessons to all ages and skill-levels. I've taught at both multiple high schools, and colleges/universities.
