Guitar Lessons, Song Writing Lessons

Degree and Field of Study:
What to expect in my Guitar Lessons
Playing guitar should always be a joyful experience, never a musical chore. Students should expect to learn the basics of chords, scales, and general guitar neck awareness in order that they can reach a level of playing that allows them to take satisfaction in their progressing capabilities. More advanced students should expect to increase their playing abilities through improvisation, beginner music theory, and songwriting, all with a focus directed on their own personal goals.
What to expect in my Song Writing Lessons
Song writing is an essential part to turning one's musical ability into art. Since songwriting is an inherently creative and personal form of expression, my aim is to give advice (song structure, music theory, historic examples, instrumentation, etc.) to allow the student to fully express their passion while I "coach" them in the direction they desire. Students should expect to gain knowledge that will help and encourage them to continue writing songs with more confidence, more direction, and more passion.
