Students will learn how to record, mix, master, and produce a song. We will learn what type of equipment makes up a recording studio and how to use them: recording software and hardware, the different types of microphones (when and how to use them), how to record guitar, bass, drums, and other instruments, how to record a track, how to mix, master and produce a song.

Students will learn the different steps and ways of approaching songwriting. We will learn the styles of different genres and how a song is constructed, how tempo and key change influences a song, how "feel" can change a song, what the music industry looks for, harmony, how to create a song from the beginning to end, how to write parts for different instruments, how to use your musical influences without copying them, and how to market your ideas.

Students can expect to learn a solid foundation of bass guitar technique and music theory that is incorporated into the styles and songs that they want to learn how to play. We will focus on the 3 basic styles of playing bass guitar: Finger Style, Slap, and Pick playing. Students will learn the anatomy of the guitar, how to take care of it, the different types of bass guitars and how they sound, and how to sound like their musical influences as well as creating a style of their own.

We will focus on the 3 basic styles of playing guitar: Rhythm, Lead, and Ambient playing. Students will learn the anatomy of the guitar, how to take care of it, the different types of guitars and how they sound, and how to sound like their musical influences as well as creating a style of their own.
