I began playing drums when I was 15, in 1980 and immediately started playing in bands. In college, I took 4 semesters of applied drum classes, and later I attended PIT, Musician's Institute's drum program. I moved to Arizona in 1996 and have played in bands and in several churches ever since. I am in the drum rotation at Redemption Gateway Church in Gilbert, AZ, and occasionally play at Gold Canyon United Methodist Church's contemporary service.

Beginner - Intermediate
Beginning students will be taught proper technique, drum rudiments & stick control, simple drum set rhythms, sight-reading, and be introduced to improvisational concepts. Intermediate students will be tested and the focus of the lessons will be on strengthening their weaknesses and building their drum vocabulary through independence studies, learning unfamiliar styles, and learning chart-reading techniques.
Formal Education:
Associates in Arts Degree, Business and Public Administration, Anne Arundel Community College. Currently working on Bachelor of Science Degree in Accounting, Liberty University Online
Private Education:
Certificate of completion, Musician's Institute Percussion program, Hollywood, Ca, 1989
Performing Experience:
I have played in many band projects since the early 1980s, in different genres, including New Wave, Progressive Rock, Classic Rock, Swing and British Invasion. I have also played a large variety of genres in several church settings, including country, funk, southern gospel, rock, Latin and reggae.
Experience Teaching:
I have had several private students throughout the years, and taught at Master Musicians, in Annapolis Maryland for 1 year.
