About Me

I teach piano, songwriting, and beginning guitar. I also run a recording studio with multiple music creation stations with all the industry standard software and hardware that a music artist would need to begin to create high-quality recordings. I have worked with Girl`s Rock Camp, the Emancipation Park, the S.H.A.P.E. Community Center, The Covenant House, Salvation Army and more. Most importantly, I provide a nurturing space that will allow you to feel safe enough to allow yourself to learn and create.

What to expect in my Vocal Lessons

Beginner -

My background is in recording so I am constantly coaching my clients on how to get their best vocal into the recording. There are several exercises and techniques to uncover your best voice and I look forward to helping you find. I can also record in a professional vocal booth so you can really hear your voice so you know exactly what you need to improve on after each class.

Beginner - Intermediate - Advanced

Students can expect to have a blast while learning the songs they love. I'm very patient, understanding and I am always looking for new ways to make learn fun. piano can be a very intimidating instrument, but with patience and practice I know that you can get started with me and flourish!

What to expect in my Song Writing Lessons

Beginner - Intermediate

Students can expect to be challenged in surprising ways with my songwriting classes. A lot of the development to master songwriting has a lot to do with overcoming blocks. We will also learn the technical aspects of songwriting such as song structure, rhyming, dynamics, storytelling and much more. This is an extremely rewarding skill to have in so many ways and I can't wait to work with you.

What to expect in my Record Engineer Produce

Beginner - Intermediate

Recording and producing can be an extremely intimidating skill to learn. I have made all the mistakes for you and I have developed a method that makes this skill so much easier to learn and understand. Creating and engineering a song from scratch is in my opinion a feeling that is unmatched. I can't wait to start creating with you!

Formal Education:

I attended HCC for audio engineering.

Private Education:

I've taken piano, guitar, drums and vocal lessons at KD Music for 2 years, Guitar Center studios for 3 years and Music and Arts for 1 year. I have also spent an extensive amount of time and study learning online.

Performing Experience:

I was in a neo soul band for 1 year and a rock band for one year. I have been a recording artist for the past 10 years, so my specialty is with recorded performances.
