My name is Jacob. Since my earliest days, I have been a music enthusiast and a student in the arts. We never stop learning music. It is everywhere in our daily lives. My first instrument was a piano, where my grandmother taught me how to read music and become fluent in the universal language. From there, my studies lead me to learn the Cornet, until high school days lead me to playing guitar by the fire with my friends. Over the last 10 years, I have honed my abilities on the guitar and the bass guitar has made its way into my heart. I have informally taught several friends how to play, and I have had lots of experience in perfecting my patience with young learners. My years of volunteering in the children's department at my local public library have also helped me to understand my own energy around kids. Writing songs and performing in front of audiences has always been a fun past time of mine. Its the greatest way I have found to spend an evening that would have been spent on the internet. Teaching and learning have always been my life's passion. Music is among the most fascinating subjects for any individual to master, and I would be honored to change someones life with one of the most invaluable skills known to man.
