Based out of Baltimore, Maryland, Kim has been performing in venues throughout the Mid-Atlantic region for over Twenty years. She is well known as a power house vocalist with an incredible range and also recognized as one of the area’s top songwriters. She got her start doing backup vocals for the Road Duck’s on their album “Get Ducked”. She later started a band called 3 By Sunday after which she and drummer Drew started Archer in 1989. • Kim Clark-voted "Best Female Vocalist" in the Mid-Atlantic by Music Monthly Magazine's Readers' Poll numerous years in a row. Kim is also one of the founding members of Archer and has fronted the band for over 20 years. Their 2nd CD release "Enter New Light" resulted in national attention with ARCHER showcasing at the South by Southwest Music Conference in Austin, Texas, as well as the Cutting Edge Music Conference in New Orleans and the PMC in Philadelphia. In addition, ARCHER was also invited to showcase at the North by Northeast Music Conference in Toronto, Canada and the New Music Seminar in New York. 1st Place-BMI/Songwriters' Association of Washington 10th annual Mid-Atlantic song awards – awarded to Kim for "Comfort Me"-Alternative/Progressive Category. Numerous other songs of hers were finalists. Archer’s 3rd CD release “BLEED” resulted in a signing with independent label, Buzz Chunk Records as well as showcasing at the first Millennium Music Conference in central PA. Kim has studied voice with some of the country’s top vocal coaches for over 20 years. Most notably she studied with Dr. Anat Keidar out of Manhattan, New York who also coaches singers from the Met, Broadway, and Stevie Wonder. She also studied with Marie Harbison who was a graduate from Juilliard and sings with Washington Opera Company. Kim Clark continues to front the band Archer, writing music for Archer’s upcoming 4th release, and is currently teaching voice to aspiring singers.
