Hi, my name is Gerriey. I am a self-taught professional musician for over ten years. I began teaching myself the guitar at an early age. After mastering this instrument, I then moved on to teaching myself the piano, drums and most recently the saxophone. I first started out in the church where I was a backup instrumentalist for the worship team for many years. A few years after that, I became the worship leader, which helped me launch my professional music career as a part of Kenya’s gospel industry. I began recording my own music and performing at live events. It was a wonderful opportunity but I felt like I wanted something more. I wanted to be able to use my gift of music to positively influence and enrich the lives of youth, so I began teaching music at a primary school in Kenya. I conducted private lessons for students interested in wanting to learn the drums, guitar and sax at a beginner or intermediate level. The nine-plus years I spent teaching, has shaped me as an instructor and prepared me for this opportunity. I look forward working with you.
