About Me

Proficient on the drums, keyboards, and Hammond B3 organ, Jerry describes himself as “God-taught” because he learns simply by seeing and hearing people make music.

He is deeply inspired by Michael Jackson, Kim Burrell, the Clark Sisters, Vanessa Bell Armstrong, Bilal, Prince, Stevie Wonder, Lonnie Williams, The Temptations, Marvin Gaye, Jamie Foxx & most importantly, his own family.

Since the age of 8, Jerry has been performing with or opening up for National & International Gospel Artists. Such as Rev. James Moore, Kim Burrell, Vickie Winans, Tye Tribbett, Fred Hammond, James Hall, Mary Mary, J. Moss & Tonéx. When he was young, he sang with the Gospel Music Workshop of America, Inc. (GMWA), was featured on three of the Youth for Christ Shabach Choir albums, and recorded on Danell Daymon and Royalty’s first album in 2006. Jerry began his career in gospel.

Since 2006 he has been signed to Du4Self Records and has been featured on over 20 albums. On Du4Self Records, he's opened up for the likes of E-40, Jay holiday, Devin the Dude, Method Man, Naughty by Nature, Twista, Boosie BadAzz, Dwele, Bilal, Ray J, Murphy Lee, Bone Thugs & Harmony just to name a few.

In 2014 he won the Seattle Sound Music Awards (SSMAs) 1st Best Male Vocalist in Washington State. With his highly-anticipated debut album soon to come; Jerry still takes time to give back to his community. He enjoys & loves teaching people both young & old. Bringing out their best that they knew they had.

What to expect in my Vocal Lessons

Beginner - Intermediate - Advanced

A warm friendly greeting; along with a brief sit down to go over their previous music history. Along with what they want to focus on vocally. Then learn a few vocal/ breathing techniques to help them with breathing and mouth placement. As well as have a FUN EXPERIENCE.

Performing Experience:

Throughout school, Jerry would make the curriculum into songs to help him study for tests, and constantly sang in the halls, pushing himself to musically get better and better. In high school, he battled all the best singers in the neighborhood and won every talent show he entered, including state and national singing championships for Curtis Jr. High & Henry Foss High School, with the guidance of his choir director, Miss Sue Ableson. He also sang the national anthem for The Sonics at the Washington State Basketball Championship at the old Key Arena and Tacoma Dome.
