About Me

Marcus has always loved music from an early age. He began playing Piano and singing at the age of 10 and continued his education by attending two colleges such as Prairie View A&M University and Lamar University. His musical influences include Bach, Alicia Keys ,and Nina Simone. Marcus's favorite thing about music is being able to see each student venture off to many different opportunities, the many different aspects, and the emotional value It holds in his heart and his favorite thing about teaching music is seeing each eager face sit at the piano for the very first time. One of his favorite teaching experiences was being able to teach my very first lesson next to my childhood piano teacher. Students can expect to learn every aspect of music.which includes being on time to lessons, how to properly sit at the piano, how to properly adjust hands on the keyboard and prepping before beginning a song, locating dynamics, practicing all scales daily, and warm-ups daily.
