Maura began singing at the age of eleven. Over the years, she developed her skills further by studying voice and theater at Baldwin-Wallace University, under the instruction of Victoria Bussert, Jack Winget, and Robert Becker. She gained performance experience in the Cleveland area by playing at such venues as Music Box Supper Club and Beachland Ballroom with acts such as Welshly Arms, Shovels & Rope, and Will Hoge. Though Maura can teach many different genres of music, her musical personal favorites are singer-songwriter, folk, and musical theater, all of which had a great influence on her style of singing. Maura loves music because it helps people connect to themselves and to each other and loves teaching music because it is rewarding to see someone discover and enhance their voice and creative expression.
