About Me

Alex has been a musician since the age of 11 when he picked up the trumpet in 5th grade. Over the years, he developed his skills further by self-teaching himself trombone, euphonium, and tuba. Eventually, began singing in high school where he discovered his rare and low bass voice. Through only 4 years of vocal training, he has gained performance experience in the DeKalb, Elgin, Sycamore, Rockford, and Chicago Land area by singing at multiple churches for services, weddings, concerts, and other gigs. He has been the bass section leader and soloist in multiple organizations. He has also directed and put together multiple small musical ensembles that perform in DeKalb and Elgin. Though Alex can teach many genres of singing, his personal favorites are classical and opera, which had great influence on his style of singing. Alex loves singing because of all different aspects of the voice which a singer can control. He also loves teaching music because it is a great way to impact lives and teach others how to share their gifts. Whether you are a beginner or a seasoned professional, Alex can help you expand and enhance your singing through old 19th century training.
