Review About Me
I was born in Mesa Arizona and I moved to Dana Point when I was 8. I was raised in south Orange County where I picked up my first guitar when I was 18. Having a late start, I took to the guitar like a duck to water. I thank my mother for all the piano lessons I hated as a kid. Moved south to San Diego to develop my playing and found a great teacher by the name of Jerry "Hot Rod" Demink. He taught me how to play the blues and to put on a performance. I eventually went to the school of music and dance at San Diego State and got my degree. I have since moved back to where it all started to teach and play with my rock band Shrewd Lucy.

I try to find what motivates a student the most. Learning songs, theory, chords, jamming or soloing, creating a lesson plan that benefits them the best. I have a degree in music from SDSU and use what I was taught there in my lessons. I also bring 10 years of professional playing in San Diego and the greater southwest to help with performance, recording and showmanship. I have taught ages 6 to 50 beginning in 2007.
