I started playing the drums when my grandfather taught me at the age of five. I haven't stopped since. My first experiences as a gigging musician occurred when I joined Take Note Youth Band at the age of 15. Because of that band, I was able to be introduced to the San Antonio music scene very early and joined a band at the age of 17. This band, Creciendo Fuerte, was an all Latin band and won first place for the 2015 San Antonio Music Awards for best Alt-Latino Band and third in Best New Band. Since the member of that band went their separate ways, I joined two new cover bands. One called The Chizme variety cover/party band, and Out of the Cellar a RATT tribute band. With these two bands under my belt I have been gigging almost every weekend, getting paid as a professional musician each time. I am a sophomore at St. Mary's University on my way to receive my degree in music education. I can honestly say I practice for at least 90 minutes a day and playing the drums is my one true love in this world. I love to work with kids and pass on the gift of music to the younger generation. It's important to me to keep that passion alive.
