I have for the past twenty-two years been working as a music educator, administrator, jazz composer and performer. The last eight of those years have been in the San Francisco Bay area. I have been responsible for teaching and developing music curricula and programs in Oakland, Chicago and in Boston. In addition, I have toured the world performing Jazz with various bands, taught upright and electric bass privately, and have released several CD’s of original compositions. I am very much interested in broadening my experience as an educator and administrator.
I hold a Master's Degree in Music Composition from the New England Conservatory of Music and a Bachelor's Degree in Music Performance from Chicago State University.
It is my belief that in order to teach you must be willing to learn. The best teachers are students of and for life.
