Jazerae has always loved music from an early age. She began playing violin at the age of 14 and continued her education by studying music education at James Madison University. She earned a Bachelors of Music Education degree and is licensed to teach music. Her musical influences include Sarah Chang, Dr. Wanchi Huang, Suzuki, Dorothy Delay, Orff, Kodaly, Amadi Azikiwe, and Oistrakh. Jazerae's favorite thing about music is its versatility and opportunity to allow the musician to be creative and expressive. Jazerae's favorite thing about teaching music making a difference in a child's life. One of her favorite teaching experiences was helping a child with Autism discover his musical talent and win first place in a music competition.
