Hey there, I’m Jonathan and I’ve been in the music industry in some way shape or form for about 23 years.  I started by self teaching the summer of my junior year in High School and was accepted to Berklee College of Music right after graduation.  After that I went to a more structured school in Shreveport, Louisiana called Centenary College with scholarships in Voice, Jazz bass and Horn (trumpet).
As much as I was learning in school, it wasn’t the practical experience that we so often want and need on the way to eventually developing a personal voice with the instrument. So I left and began working in small house and circuit bands along the south.  In ’93 I moved to Nashville and began working with independent artists and putting showcases together. I appeared on some albums and did more work with touring bands.
Nowadays I’m married, house, dogs…you know the drill.  But the one thing I learned that I can teach you prospective students is the Practical knowledge you will need if you want to go to a second, third or fourth level of playing.
I hope this helps!  See you in sessions
