About Me

My students and I tend to build a fun and interactive relationship and most of my students stay in lessons for at least six months and many for 1 to 2 years. I started teaching guitar and bass 6 years ago at a local music store. I found out then that I love doing this and have a knack for connecting with anybody, including the special needs kids I have had. Three years ago I started back to College seeking my degree in Psychology and have been teaching part time since then. I was working at two different music stores before with more than 60 students per week .

I teach reading music in the treble and bass cleff and am a reasonably good sight reader on guitar. I have taken music courses at the college level in music history and classical styles. I have recorded two CD's and opened up for several National acts in the country genre including LoneStar, Little Texas, Jason Aldine and others. I have played in the house band for a local blues club for 3 years and been in several club bands. I am proficient in fingerstyle techniques and really like and know the classic rock genre very well. I played on the worship team at my church for two years as well.

I did volunteer work teaching guitar at out local opportunity school for kids having trouble and really connected with them and alsdo do volunteer work for the Ohio State Parks. I am the Current President of the cultural Enrichment Club at my college as well.
