About Me

My name is Jason. I started singing in my church choir when I was 12. About six months after that, I joined up with my middle school choir in Bonham, TX. about 3 years later, I then moved to Winnsboro, Texas where I started school at Harmony High School. There I found my love of singing to start ringing true. I started working hard at learning how to breathe, get more sound out of my voice, and learn how to sing with others. I moved up quickly, and ended up being the lead in the Baritone section. I went to state that year with 15th chair in the All-State Choir as a Baritone II. In the following 3 years, I went to state all of my remaining years and got various chairs in solo and in groups. After I graduated high school, I decided that I wanted to be in a band. I knew a drummer who knew a guitarist who knew a bassist, so we started a band. We were all kids, and the band was horrible, but I gained alot of experience on how to compensate for screwups on behalf of bandmates, singing with rock/metal guitars, and most importantly...learning how to scream skillfully enough to not throw my voice out. I have since been in and out of various bands, and sang on other artist's records. Now I am the singer of a progressive southern metal band called Born & Raised.
