Hi, my name is Alberto and I am a musician from Chicago. I have been a student of music for 20 years. My musical influences include Jazz, Soul, Samba, Salsa, Blues and I also enjoy Hip hop. It is my understanding that each student learns music differently. My teaching philosophy can best be described by saying that I tend to see what my students want to learn and target their curriculum around that. In my lessons, you can expect to learn fundamentals such as basic music theory, technique, history, as well as songwriting and learning how to record. I like to tell my students that patience will get you far but practice will get you further. My favorite thing about teaching is learning from my students as much as they learn from me. My students love that I am patient and know how to put abstract concepts into simple words. I primarily teach guitar, but I can also teach recording arts.
