I'm a Georgia-raised, Nashville-based musician, songwriter, and teacher. I graduated from the from The Atlanta Institute of Music's Guitar Musicianship Program in 2009 and have more than 10 years experience teaching at schools and studios including Music and Arts, V.C. Giles Studio, Chick Music, and School of Rock. When I'm not teaching students, you can catch me performing music around Nashville, or playing with other artists throughout the Southeast.

What to expect in my Song Writing Lessons
Beginner - Intermediate
Analyzing and charting songs is the foundation for any songwriter. I'll teach students chord and harmonic theory, song forms, how to chart a song, and understand rhyme patterns. Exercises such as object writing and lyric analysis will strengthen lyrical writing skills.
What to expect in my Guitar Lessons
Beginner - Intermediate - Advanced
Teaching your favorite songs and styles is most important to me. Over time, you'll learn theory, songwriting basics, new playing techniques, and musical concepts through the exploration of songs, riffs, and solos. This is your lesson, and we'll devote our time to whatever genre of music and playing style inspires you!
What to expect in my Keyboard and Piano Lessons
Beginner - Intermediate
For the classical style, learning to read music comfortably is most important. I'll recommend method books depending on the student's experience and skill to practice sheet music reading. I'll also like to focus on theory, scales, and chords which are the foundation of any style of playing.
