What to expect in my Drum Lessons
Beginner - Intermediate
Stick handling, coordinating fills, complementing songs, a variety of rhythm practice, and learning already established songs.
What to expect in my Guitar Lessons
Beginner - Intermediate
finger positions, strumming, pick holding, chords, theory, rhythm, tuning, bar chords, alternate picking, scales, working muscle memory, and many other topics. we will use songs the students like as ways to teach many different techniques, and provide contexts for why and how to use them. i will also use theory teachings to help provide a basis for songwriting.
Formal Education:
4 Years of college music theory, as well as classes in high school, as well as a few ensemble classes.
Private Education:
I took piano lessons when I was young, drum lessons around middle school for a few years, and vocal lessons recently.
Performing Experience:
I have played in groups around the city, playing at places like the Bottom Lounge, Mojos, etc.
Experience Teaching:
I have taught people guitar, bass, and drums informally, but am new to teaching paid lessons.
