Abigail began playing violin at the age of 5. Over the years, she developed her skills further by playing with the Albuquerque Youth Symphony, and won the concerto competition her senior year. She studied performance at Indiana University Jacobs School of Music, where she also played with local professional orchestras and chamber ensembles. Abigail loves music because of its expressive power and loves teaching music because she loves discovering each student's unique gifts. What to expect in my Orchestral Lessons
Beginner - Intermediate - Advanced
I draw on the pedagogy methods of Mimi Zwieg and Paul Rolland, approaching teaching the violin with an awareness of healthy positioning and movement analysis. I provide structure that is tailored to each student and his or her learning style. My goal is to help the student connect with the violin and develop a love for music, all while having fun!
