About Me

Hello! I'm Dr. Warren! I have taught singers for over 25 years. I have a Doctorate in Music from the Shenandoah Conservatory of Music in Virginia and a Master's and Bachelor's degree in Music from the University of North Carolina. I have been studying how to teach voice for 30 years. I attended the Aspen Music School and I have had success with referring and preparing voice students for the auditions to study at the Aspen School of Music's summer programs, taught by the best musicians from around the world every summer. I love to sing and teach music. I have been a professional opera singer for over 20 years, and I love sharing my experience and skills with singers of any skill level. I also teach guitar of all styles and I teach trombone lessons too! I sang a lead role with the Opera Theater of the Rockies in Colorado Springs in their latest mainstage opera, The Mikado. I am excited to build a successful studio of singers and musicians here in Colorado Springs. I'm excited to help musicians who are seeking music scholarships for college and future employment as singers and people that wish to learn to sing for fun, therapy, and fellowship!

What to expect in my Orchestral Lessons

The trombone is special! It requires a good sense of intonation and fine motor skills to place the slide correctly while playing. I can help with all of these things and more! Trombone is such an exciting instrument for young people, and I always enjoy teaching these lessons! Remember-Trombone players get scholarships to college sometimes! I have a Doctorate in Vocal Performance, and I have taught professional singers for over 25 years. I love to teach singing and I can help anyone improve their singing at any level. I have performed in professional operas, musicals, and recitals all over the US, and I would love to share my skills and experience with you to improve your tone, vocal strength, and overall performance.
