Hi, my name is Torbin and I am a guitarist originally from Maine. I have been a student of music for 20 years. My musical influences include Led Zeppelin and I also enjoy Leo Kottke. My teaching style can best be described as relaxed and encouraging. My teaching philosophy can best be described by saying that I have a lot of patience and help you learn at your own speed. In my lessons, you can expect to learn guitar chords, writing riffs and putting them together to make your own compositions as well as how to learn your favorite songs. I like to tell my students that learning guitar is absolutely possible as long as you practice. My favorite thing about teaching is seeing the excitement from the students when they accomplish a personal goal and get the "fever!". My favorite performance was playing a music festival in the Rocky Mountains and sharing that bill with Chris Robinson from the Black Crowes. My students love that I am patient. I primarily teach acoustic guitar, but I can also teach electric. My approach as a teacher is to always encourage you. Thanks for taking a look at my profile. Hope to meet you soon!
