Dana began playing guitar at the age of 4 when he started classical piano lessons. At 14, he traveled with a college rock band from Lubbock Christian University and played for crowds of thousands. He moved to Germany a year later and joined an adult blues band playing piano. At the age of 23 he signed with Joe Buffalino Talent Agency in Albuquerque, NM. The band was considered one of the top 14 bands in Albuquerque and toured New Mexico, Arizona and California. In 1985, he returned to Roswell and joined the band Hott Lixx touring New Mexico and Texas. In 1991, Dana was chosen as the lead guitarist for USA pagent contestant, Miss New Mexico of 1991, Angie Delasantos. The band toured the military bases in Greenland. After returning home, Dana played in rock and country bands, recorded 2 CDs with the Legal Tender band who had a write up by the Associated Press for their latest CD. He also toured with Toby Keith throughout New Mexico.

Dana's Jimi Hendrix Tribute Band, Gypsy's Bottle, had a huge following. He furthered his career performing with Troy Wells from the Dixie Chicks. After 2000 he opened for Blue Oyster Cult and KISS Army. Dana's songs are copywrited and published by BMI and ASCAP. An additional CD was recorded with Chris Eaglesmith. Dana has managed 3 music stores and has been giving guitar lessons since the 1980s. After instruction with theory, Dana will teach you what you want to learn with his easy to understand methods.
