Joe is a professional guitar player in the RI / SE Mass area. He can be seen playing in various clubs several nights a week. A long-time student of guitar, he is well versed in many styles including Jazz, Rock, Blues, Country, Reggae, Acoustic and others.
As an instructor, he has taught absolute beginners to already advanced guitarists and is sure to improve your playing regardless of your current level. He can demystify the workings of music theory and also show you all the practical "tricks" that can make you an excellent guitar player quickly.

Joe La - is proficient in and teaches Guitar Lessons, Song Writing Lessons .Formal Education:
Played in Jr. High and HS Jazz Bands for 6 years.
Attended URI and played with the big bands and Jazz Combos there for 4 years.
In college, studied with guitar professor Eric Hoffbaur.
Recipient of the RIMEA All-State Jazz Guitar Award
3 Times in High School.
Private Education:
Studied with Wayne Jarrell at the Guitar Workshop for 7 years.
While in High School, I studied with Berklee Professor Bob Schlink.
While in college, I met famed guitarist Brad Barr and had several lessons with him, which were VERY informative to my current approach.
Performing Experience:
I am currently a professional guitar player, gigging several nights a week with a hip-hop cover band, a country cover band, and a small jazz trio.
I have played in original bands all my life including reggae bands, jam bands, indie rock, bluegrass etc...
Experience Teaching:
I have taught lessons privately for several years, and also worked for Chris B's Music in Cranston.
I have worked with students ranging from children to adults and can teach at any level. I am very advanced at guitar and am very comfortable teaching advanced students.
