Hello. My name is Amy and I have studied music for 3 decades. I began studying piano at the age of 6 and continued for many years including taking piano classes in college. I have also studied voice in college as well as in NYC and Paris, France. I have a master's degree in music education and I have taught music in the public schools. I love teaching and I consider teaching to be my life's calling. I believe that the best private teachers are kind and supportive. I teach important skills while also adding elements of the student's musical interests and goals into the work we do together. I have lots of experience working with people of all ages from age 5 through senior citizens and I have experience teaching people with disabilities, serious illnesses as well as people with Autism, Dyslexia and ADHD. I pride myself in creating positive nurturing relationships with my students. I care about their well-being as people.

What to expect in my Keyboard and Piano Lessons
Beginner
Students will be taught core skills including scales, sight-reading and ear training. Students will also be asked to listen to music to expand their knowledge of various styles music including classical music.
What to expect in my Vocal Lessons
Beginner - Intermediate - Advanced
I teach students proper posture, breath support and diction as well as ear training and sight singing.
