What to expect in my Orchestral Lessons
Every student can expect to learn in a healthy way. I have spent the last few years of my life researching musicians health and the physics of brass playing. I am to make sure my students have individualized lessons because no two students learn the same. I also aim to make sure my students have fun so they can develop a passion for music and make it a part of their lives. In a typical lesson, we will discuss the sound we want the instrument to make and the most efficient way to produce the sound. This can be done through wind patterns, air through a straw, through the horn, or buzzing and a variety of other techniques. I typically will assign literature based on the students level that will challenge them to grow, but not overwhelm them. I also listen for student feedback because I do not want a student to feel they do not have a say in what they perform.
