Hey everyone my name is Collin, I've played guitar for 18 years. I started out teaching myself through tab, and then began reading music under Colonel Gene Wyatt of Cowpens, SC. I studied music theory and various styles of music bluegrass, country, classical, jazz etc through him in the 3 year that he taught me. I continued my education at Limestone where I graduated with my BA in music performance with a concentration in jazz in 2010. I began teaching at Hames Music in 2008 and taught there until they closed in 2011. I teach a variety of styles, focus on reading music and applying music theory. I look forward to hearing from You! What to expect in my Guitar Lessons
Beginner - Intermediate
An engaging, interactive lesson that will challenge and with friendly motivation to encourage the student to be their best. Some of the goals I personally try to reach with all of my students are: fun!! reading music learning many styles of music major and minor scales/chords chromaticism modes of the major scale applied music theory and lots more!!

Performing Experience:
Played with several jazz bands including Limestone's Jazz Ensemble (mainly standards), the Ol' 74 Big Band of Rutherford County (doing large band format swing, ballads and some fusion), and Melodious Earth (swing, fusion, ballads, blues etc) Also have performed numerous solo, duo and trio gigs of different instrumentation and have played with a local blues band and am in a variety band now that covers everything from country, blues, classic rock, to reggae, and jazz

I actually began teaching before I graduated college and have been teaching for over 10 years, with a wide range of ages and experience levels.
