About Me

I have been playing the cello for 13 years and counting and am loving every second of it. It is my greatest talent to take my passion for the cello and to share it with others. One of my greatest joys is seeing the light in a students eyes whenever they learn a new skill on their instrument.

Formal Education:

I have a Bachelors in Music in Music Education from Valdosta State University. This fall I will be starting graduate school at Georgia State University.

Performing Experience:

I have extensive experience performing in professional capacities. I have played with the Valdosta Symphony Orchestra, the Alma Symphony Orchestra, and the Festival Orchestra while working at Blue Lake Fine Arts camp.

Experience Teaching:

While in college, I was a lower strings instructor for the South Georgia String project. I also worked with the Valdosta Youth Symphony Orchestra. During my student teaching, I taught middle school orchestra for very large classes. In the past two years, I have worked as a substitute teacher for in the state of Michigan as well as a cello sectional teacher for Camp Bernstein at Blue Lake Fine Arts Camp.
