Hi, my name is Alton and I am a college student at James Madison University, and am currently studying to be a high school choir teacher. My musical influences include everything from classical music to current hits on the radio. My teaching style can best be described as energetic. In my lessons, you can expect to learn how to use your voice in a healthy and sustainable way. I like to tell my students that everyone can sing. The only thing stopping people is worrying about what others think of them. Once you let go of that, other things will fall into place. My favorite thing about teaching is getting to pass my love of teaching on to others. My favorite performance was when I took part in a choir that sang in a performance of Mahler's 2nd Symphony.
