About Me

Hello! My name is Miles and I am 20 years old. I began playing the piano at age 6, and I enjoy playing recitals, events, and public areas. I enjoy all genres of music, but I have a keen interest in playing jazz, classical, and contemporary musi. Some of my musical influences include Miles Davis, Sade, James Blake, Kanye West, just to name a few. Currently I produce music, and the genre of music I make is inspired by jazz, rock, hip hop, and electronic music. You can find some of my music on my website, During my piano lessons, you can expect a pace that best fits the student. I believe that repetition and breaking down sections of songs are the most effective way to learn a new piece, but my teaching style is flexible, so whatever method the student sees to work best for them is how I adjust the lesson. For a new student, learning the fundamentals of music is essential, so the basics as far as note names and proper mechanics will be taught first. From there, music theory will be taught through various songs and exercises. I look forward to having an impactful role in your musical journey!
