Amanda has played flute, piccolo, and piano for over 20 years. She is classically trained and attended Southeastern Louisiana University for Music Performance. She enjoys working with children and adults to improve their tone quality, embouchure, technique, articulation, intonation, dynamics, sight-reading, and everything else that comes along on the musical journey. What to expect in my Orchestral Lessons
Beginner - Advanced - Intermediate
My flute/piccolo students will learn posture, stage etiquette, embouchure, air support, lip flexibility, tone quality, intonation, dynamics, technique, articulation, phrasing, theory and how have a better understanding of music in general. I always try to keep my students motivated and keep them focused while enjoying the lesson.
What to expect in my Keyboard and Piano Lessons
Beginner - - Intermediate
My students will learn proper posture, finger numbers, chords, scales, songs up to their level, music theory, dynamics, phrasing, rythm, sight-reading, and more. I always make sure to keep lesson interesting and enjoyable while learning the necessary skills.

Performing Experience:
I've performed in concerto competitions, I've won alternate for Louisiana State Flute Festival Solo Competition in 2013, I have performed in venues such as Orchestra Hall in Chicago.
Experience Teaching:
I have taught for Kid's Orchestra and Overtones Music Studio. I have 7 years of private lesson teaching.
