Hi, my name is Everton or EJ and I'm a singer/songwriter from Miami, now living in Jacksonville. I have been a student of music for 10 years. My musical influences include Corey Henry and I also enjoy Frank Sinatra. My teaching style can best be described as fun, creative and effective. My teaching philosophy can best be described by saying that I expect a lot, but I give a lot as well. You will ultimately get out of it what you put in. In my lessons, you can expect to learn how to play the piano/keyboard correctly, but also how to be musical. I like to tell my students anyone can play an instrument, but a musician is musical. My favorite thing about teaching is that I get to invest in others. My favorite performance was and is every Sunday when I play and sing at my church. My students appreciate that I make everything fun and relatable. I primarily teach piano, but I can also teach Voice as well. My approach as a teacher is to make it easy, fun and creative.
