Stuart began playing piano at the age of 5. Over the years, he developed his skills further by studying saxophone and woodwinds and recording instrumentation. He gained performance experience in the Maryland, Virginia, DC area by playing at such venues as Merriweather Post Pavilion, Marriot Hotels, Naval Yard Inner Harbor Baltimore and with acts such as Brian Culbertson, Spyro Gyra, Herbie Mann, Jazz Caravan, Majestic Notes, and Capitol Jazz Experience. Though Stuart can teach many different genres of music, his musical personal favorites are Jeff Lorber Fusion, Yellow Jackets which had great influence on his style of playing. Stuart loves music because of the emphasis on conceptual music and loves teaching music because music is the universal language of feelings and faith coupled to the human connectons.
