About Me

Hi, I’m Eric, guitar instructor and music aficionado. I am an Arizona State University alum and have been immersed in the local music scene for the past four years. I have logged hundreds of performances around the valley and played alongside many local notables including Geoffrey J, Jason Devore of Authority Zero , and the band Fayuca. I studied music both at ASU and under a handful of private instructors over the past decade.

I offer custom tailored guitar lessons to individuals of all ages, skill levels, and genres. This is your opportunity to learn to play guitar or develop your existing skills one-on-one with an experienced and professionally trained guitarist.

I believe music is a timeless skill set that can’t be taken away, altered, or manipulated. The ability to play an instrument is the only thing that is purely yours. For that reason, I believe that my students should learn guitar the way they want to learn, and become the guitarist they want to become.

Eric Ma has over 10 years of music experience in the Phoenix area.

Formal Education:

I have studied music through the Herberger School of Music at ASU.

Private Education:

I have studied under a handful of private instructors, ranging from technique training, to theory, to composition.

Performing Experience:

I have logged hundreds of performances around the valley and played alongside many local notables including Geoffrey J, Jason Devore of Authority Zero , and the band Fayuca.

Experience Teaching:

I have been teaching guitar for 3 years. I do not have a set curriculum for my class. Rather, I tailor it to meet the specific goals of each student. I have found this method to be effective in keeping students interested in guitar and on their desired journey to becoming a guitarist.
