Saar started to learn piano at the age of six and quickly developed into a talented musician. At the age of 13, he began learning the guitar. In 1997, he graduated high school, performing a recital of classical guitar pieces. In 2003, he attended the Rimon Jazz School and performed on guitar and piano, while also studying to be a sound engineer. Saar has been teaching private lessons and groups for 17 years, and has been producing, performing, and recording for the past decade.
