James has always loved music from an early age. He began playing the piano at the age of 2 and continued his education by self-studying. His musical influences include modern-day jazz performers such as Snarky Puppy and Jacob Collier. James's favorite thing about music is the infinite way musicians can express themselves by combining different chords to send colorful messages, and his favorite thing about teaching music is seeing someone who knows nothing about music become a talented and knowledgeable musician. One of his favorite teaching experiences was at Jacksonville University teaching basic music production. When taking lessons with James you can expect to learn the in's and out's of how notes and chords can work together to produce beautiful harmonies.
