About Me

My name is Yelena A., and I am a Cello Teacher. I teach beginners and intermediate level students-children and adults. I believe everyone who wish to learn about music and play any music instrument deserve to be taught and get a chance to succeed no matter which path they take in music. Students will learn to read music notation, music theory, Cello technique to be able to perform music; develop listening skills and sight-reading. I prefer to teach one on one lessons, but I can teach group lessons as well. I am qualified and professional musician with Bachelor's and Master's Degrees in Music Performance and Music Education ( Cello) from Belarussian State Conservatory. My experience include teaching in Music College-Minsk, Belarus, private lessons; being a member of cello section with Philharmonic Symphony Orchestra. At present time I am a member of Glory Strings Trio. For teaching Cello I use traditional method based on European Cello training. I approach every student's needs individually, planning and preparing lessons accordingly, acquiring appropriate teaching materials and resources. I look forward to getting to know you as a student and help you to reach your music goals!

What to expect in my Orchestral Lessons

On a first lesson I would like to talk a little to better understand personal goals and interests. If student is a beginner-introduce him what is a cello about. For advanced students I would like to ask to play something on a cello to better understand in what direction we have to work together.

Formal Education:

Master Degree in Music Performance as a Cellist-Soloist,chamber ensemble performer,orchestral performance, teacher from Belarussian State Conservatory Bachelor Degree from State Musical College.

Performing Experience:

Concert tours In Germany, Spain Netherlands, France, Greece, Italy with Philharmonic Symphony Orchestra.

Experience Teaching:
