Hi, my name is Sarah, and I am a junior from Ottawa University. I have been a student of music for three years. My teaching style can best be described as fun and enjoyable. In my lessons, you can expect to learn how to hold the instrument, learn how to read music and the technical aspects of playing. I like to tell my students that it is okay if you do not understand right away, I can find new ways to teach a lesson if the student is struggling. My favorite thing about teaching is when a child learns new material and smile, because they finally understand it, and are excited to show off their new talent. My favorite performance was at the end of my sophomore year of college when I played the Malcolm Arnold Sonatina for clarinet and piano. My students love that I can make learning music fun and an exciting experience. I primarily teach clarinet, but I can also teach flute, saxophone and piano.
