Hello, I am Vanessa and I am a board certified music therapist MT-BC with a love of music and people! I have enjoyed singing all my life, and have played piano since the first grade. I play guitar as well, and love writing my own music. In college I had the opportunity to study voice and also take piano lessons again. I have worked with children, teaching at music camps, and I also enjoy working with teens and adults.

What to expect in my Guitar Lessons

Beginner - Intermediate

When it comes to guitar, I will teach you to have a solid foundation in music theory, chord structure, and strum/picking patterns that will take your playing to the next level.

What to expect in my Keyboard and Piano Lessons

Beginner - Intermediate

Piano is a great instrument to build a base of musicality and knowledge from. In our lessons, we will work towards our sight-reading and music theory abilities, different styles of playing, and learning compositions you are passionate about.

What to expect in my Vocal Lessons

Beginner - Intermediate - Advanced

Through voice lessons, my students will learn an overall knowledge of their voice as an instrument, including how to support your voice and vocal health; we will also talk about music theory and learn how to sight-sing music. Furthermore, we will work on stylistic vocal techniques, working toward finding the best sound we can.

What to expect in my Song Writing Lessons

Beginner - Intermediate - Advanced

I will meet my students where they are at in a songwriting process. Whether it be coming up with a theme, finding the right words to say for a line, or thinking of the best chord progression in a given measure, you will end up with an original composition to be proud of.
